Game Path, which runs small conferences and trade shows in the game industry, has announced it will hold a two-day Game Education Summit in Dallas at the Southern Methodist University campus June 10 and 11. The summit will focus on game development education primarily from the point of view of educators and academics. Topics of discussion will include the future of instructional game development programs and the role of academic institutions in game research programs. Discussions will also focus on developing a curriculum for a games-based academic program or department. Registration is now open for general attendees, and speaker submissions from both educators and industry professionals are also still being accepted.
