Data provided by UK company Chart-Track have shown that sales of the Nokia N-Gage in the week ending October 11 totalled less than 500 units. The data only covers video games retailers, and not mobile phone stores, but it will still be seen as a dispiritingly low number for the Finnish company – who launched the mobile phone/console hybrid on 7th October with a relatively high profile marketing campaign. The data for all formats is as follows, but the position of the GameCube is impossible to judge since its UK price cut did not come into effect until 10th October. From these figures though the GameCube should be looking at sales considerably above the Xbox for the full week, although it now seems all but impossible that any system will catch up with the PS2 this generation. PlayStation 2 - 50,000 units Game Boy Advance - 15,000 units Xbox - 5,300 units GameCube - 4,800 units N-Gage - 500 units
