Mirroring the similarly slow period of both sales and new releases in Japan, the UK sales chart this week have only one new entry in the top forty, and a top ten almost identical to the previous week. The only movement of note is Forza Motorsport’s continued strong performance, compared to other first-party Xbox titles, which traditionally see a sharp drop off in sales after the first week. Even Halo 2 suffered in this way, suggesting that Forza is particularly well suited to the British market. The only new entry in the chart is Eidos’s Total War clone Imperial Glory at number thirteen. With no major releases due next week, bar Capcom’s Monster Hunter and WWE WrestleMania 21 for the Xbox, the sales charts are likely to remain largely static until mid June - when a number of higher profile titles such as Tekken 5 and God of War are scheduled.
