The Nordic Game 2010 conference has added Unity Technologies VP Brett Seyler and PlayDead lead designer Jeppe Carlsen (Limbo) as speakers for the April conference.
The Nordic Game 2010 conference has added speakers from game engine company Unity Technologies and the Independent Games Festival award-winning studio, PlayDead. Nordic Game 2010 takes place April 27-30 in Malmo, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. Brett Seyler, VP of strategy at Unity will deliver the presentation "Where Unity is Going (and Why)." The Unity 3D engine is gaining traction among game developers who want to bring titles to iPhone, iPad and the web, as well as Xbox 360, PC, Mac and soon PlayStation 3 and Android. Jeppe Carlsen with PlayDead, developers of the IGF award-winning game Limbo, will talk about design principles behind the game, which won the excellence in visual art and technical excellence categories at IGF 2010. Limbo is also headed to Xbox Live Arcade. Other Nordic Game speakers include Finnish Rovio, the team responsible for the multi-million-selling game Angry Birds on iPhone, and Tero Virtala, CEO of RedLynx, the company behind the highly-successful Xbox Live Arcade game Trials HD.
