VGXPO, a video game expo and convention on the east coast, has added a video game job fair and two-day Breaking In conference to this year’s line up, co-sponsored by GameJOBS. An official announcement from the event organizers says the conference will contain “information about colleges and universities offering education programs for game makers” as well as “what you need to know about landing a job at a video game company.” The announcement also lists companies that plan to send speakers to the event (although no specific speakers have been made officially known at this time) including Microsoft, GameJOBS, GameRecruiter, Mary-Margaret.com, the IGDA, the organization Women In Games International, Red Storm Entertainment, Large Animal Games, Southern Methodist University, Full Sail University, and other institutions. Other major events at the expo include video game tournaments and a costume contest. The expo will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, and admission prices range from $7.50 to $99 ($99 for admission to the Breaking In conference).
