In Q4, Viewpoint posted $2.1 million in revenue and a net loss of $16.7 million ($0.52 per share). For the year ending December 31, revenues came in at $3.6 million, resulting in a net loss of $56.4 million ($1.96 per share). Last year was a busy one for Viewpoint. After a series of direction shifts and name changes (MetaCreations to Metastream to Viewpoint), the company divested itself of its packaged software business, which included Painter, Kai's Power Tools, Bryce, and Ray Dream Studio. The company currently now provides "visualization and marketing solutions for the Web," but has retained its catalog of 3D models and modeling services which are widely used in the game development industry.
