Nintendo has announced that this week's regular Wii Shop update will see the addition of two new classic games to the channel's offerings for Virtual Console, Star Tropics and The King of Fighters '94. 1994's King of Fighters for NeoGeo is the first game in the long-running fighting series, which brought together characters from Fatal Fury its sister series, Art of Fighting, Ikari Warriors and Psycho Soldiers and pitted them against one another. The title also introduced new characters exclusive to the series. In King of Fighters, players select one of eight teams, each comprised of three teammates, and must eliminate all of the other team's members before losing all three of the player's own teammates to knockout. King of Fighters is priced at 900 Wii Points. Originally released on NES in 1990, Star Tropics blends adventure and RPG elements as teenage star pitcher Mike Jones searches the tropics for his missing archaeologist uncle. The player must explore the island, find weapons and enlist the help of villagers as locations unfold across eight chapters. Star Tropics is priced at 500 Wii Points.
