Microsoft revealed the European launch date for the Xbox, saying that the console will go on sale across the continent on March 14 at a price of $430 U.S, or 299 pounds.
The company says shipments will come from a factory in Hungary run by Singapore-based contract manufacturing giant Flextronics International Ltd. The company has said it will make 1.5 million units available in 16 European markets from the launch until the end of June. The Xbox debuts in the United States on November 15, and in Japan on February 22. The console will be priced at $299 in the United States.
