Microsoft has announced that the latest regular Xbox Live Arcade update will see the release of Torpex's XNA action title Schizoid, as well as Golf: Tee It Up!, from Activision and developer Housemarque (Super Stardust PSN). Schizoid will mark the first commercial title to be developed completely in Microsoft's XNA Game Studio, and as previously discussed on Gamasutra, as well as in a technical session at Microsoft's GameFest 2007. Microsoft says the game is "the most co-op game ever," as players will "ram your way through waves of glowing enemies: single player with an AI bot helper; or co-op multiplayer with two players offline or online through Xbox Live." The title will feature 120 levels for both casual and hardcore players, with a special "Uberschizoid game mode, in which a single player controls two different ships at the same time." Golf: Tee It Up! will be the first title from Housemarque, the studio behind PSN shooter Super Stardust, and will offer 18-hole multiplayer tournaments in "beautiful, panoramic and challenging courses." The Activision published title promises "zany, customizable characters and a variety of game modes including stroke, cup, or match play with local or Xbox Live multiplayer modes." Both titles will be released Wednesday, July 9th, at prices of 800 Microsoft Points ($10) each.
