Microsoft has announced that in addition to the previously reported Discs of Tron arcade port, this week's Xbox Live Arcade update will see the addition of the turn-based strategy Commanders: Attack of the Genos from Sierra Online and developer SouthEnd Interactive. Microsoft says Commanders, from the developer bringing Lode Runner to Live Arcade in the near future, is "a fast-paced turn-based strategy game featuring an art deco look and tongue-in-cheek storyline." The game will require players to master tactical strategy to "both cripple the enemy and defend their territory from genos, a genetically modified super race" in a 15 mission campaign mode featuring "an arsenal of weapons including missile launchers, bombers and infantry." The game will also feature two endings, two difficulty levels, and a total of 15 playable units, with multiplayer functionality for three additional players either locally or over Xbox Live. The game will be released this Wednesday at a price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10), in addition to Disney's Discs of Tron, itself launching for 400 Points ($5).
