Following the announcement that Xbox Live will soon see the addition of downloadable original Xbox titles, Microsoft has revealed more details of the service, and the initial lineup of titles for both the U.S. and Japan. According to Microsoft's official site for the new campaign, the games available at its launch on December 4th include Burnout 3: Takedown, Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Fable, Fuzion Frenzy, Halo and Psychonauts. Additionally, Japan-based news site Game Watch has shown that region's lineup of titles, which drops Crash Bandictoot, Fuzion Frenzy, Burnout 3 and Psychonauts and instead adds Puyo Puyo Fever and Magatama. Websites for the individual games, such as Psychonauts', have been updated with additional information, including fully downloadable manuals and controller maps. Because the games are running through Microsoft's backward compatibility emulator, the service won't be without some glitches at launch, however. The company has set up a new site detailing the issues, which include "minor flickering," "random bursts of audio static and some minor texture issues" and frame rate issues for various games. Microsoft also notes that "any additional content within a game (such as a demo or trailer) is not supported by Xbox Originals titles and selecting those options may result in crashing the game (requiring a restart of the console)." Presumably, because of the software emulator, the service can be tweaked and downloadable emulation improved as the campaign continues with further additional titles.
