Created by artist, technologist, and disabilities rights activist Joseph Munisteri, *Butterfly Space Rescue* is a fast-paced matching card game that challenges players to rescue alien species scattered across the cosmos. With its origins in Joseph Munisteri's short stories, *Butterfly Space Rescue* combines elements of space culture, physics, and mythology, featuring unique artwork for each card. The game's mechanics emphasize quick play, making it accessible for people with busy schedules. A single deck can support 2 to 5 players, with games lasting approximately five minutes.

 
Joseph Munisteri has tied the game's launch to several key events, including his participation in the **2024 NASA Space Apps Challenge**, where his team developed a complementary RPG game using NASA and GLOBE protocol data. This parallel game allows players to contribute real environmental data, adding an educational and environmental dimension to the *Butterfly Space Rescue* experience.

 
Additionally, Munisteri will attend all four days of New York Comic Con on October 17^th 2024 – October 20^th 2024, where he will distribute postcards for attendees to send to space through Blue Origin's "Club for the Future" program, but you will have to find him roaming around the show to get one! Fans can also meet him in person and learn more about the game at the **Long Island TCG Show** on November 16-17, 2024.

 
The campaign offers multiple reward tiers, including exclusive digital access and physical copies of the game, as well as a limited edition signed uncut sheet of prototype cards used during playtesting.
