3 April 2024 - Distilled Gaming Company is thrilled to announce that Death or Glory, the collectible card-battler, has just received its biggest update - and it’s available to play now.

In Death or Glory, you embark on a rogue-like adventure to loot cards and defeat powerful bosses. Pick from 5 different classes, each with their own unique resources and fighting styles. In each class, there is a variety of characters that possess their own unique set of cards to allow you even more freedom in deciding your playstyle.

The latest update brings an entirely new game mode to Death or Glory, which aims to add more depth to the game's popular PvP battles. “Dueling Mode” will place players at the bottom of a menacing tower - their goal is to ascend their way up the tower, increasing their rank by fighting online opponents in PvP. This journey creates a smooth learning experience for new players, whilst providing an area for dedicated players to flex their might.

The “Duelling Mode” update also brings a complete overhaul to the way that character progression works. Before this patch, there were 7 cards total per character progression path, this has now been increased to 26. Allowing players to earn more rewards as they play Death or Glory.

Leveling up has also never been easier, as you can now earn XP from wins as well as losses. There will also be bonus XP given out to fighters who show their prowess in battle by winning a match or achieving “star moments” such as killing opponents quickly or finishing the battle with perfect health.

“Character Milestones” have also been introduced, which rewards players for great achievements in Death or Glory with premium currency and special cardbacks. These rewards will evolve and grow as the game continues to develop over time.

This latest update also responds to the fan outcry for the game to transition to a 16:9 aspect ratio. Both the new game modes and the progression overhaul will take advantage of a full 16:9 aspect ratio. Over time more areas of the game will be adapted to this ratio.

Talking about the new update, developer Roy Loh says “We have expanded the card pool for snappy dueling. By reinventing a new progression system, we are eager to see players discovering many different builds and strategies by unlocking many more cards and new card types.”

Death or Glory is available for free on the Steam store, and the “Duelling Mode” update is available to play from today.
