Iasi, Romania, December 1^st 2023: Indie game developers GrimTalin and Darkania Works are proud to announce the first look and Playable Demo release of The Crimson Maid, a magnificent and enthralling adventure game with emphasis on intriguing dialogues, exploration and light puzzle solving. Scheduled for an official release in 2024 on PC via STEAM™ in addition to PlayStation® PS5™ and XBOX® Series X|S, The Crimson Maid takes you on a thrilling journey that combines not only murder mystery and romance, but also a touch of the supernatural.

The Crimson Maid tells the tale of a young and innocent priest in training, Marius; estranged for a couple of years, protagonist Marius rushes back to his childhood home to be close to his father as he draws near death. The honorable Leon Rosenthal has come down with a strange illness and it is up to Marius, his oldest son, to unroot the cause of the celestial curse that has befallen his stalwart father. Your objective is to play as Marius as he returns to his childhood home to reconnect with his ailing father, stern mother, and overwhelmed younger brother. Much to your surprise, your household now employs an alluring young maid, Irina, who charms you from the first sight and diverts your focus. But your blossoming romance will soon be tested as a dreadful murder shakes the feeble balance of this noble family. A period drama that combines romance and murder mystery, with a dash of supernatural, now begins.


The Crimson Maid is an adventure game focused on dialogues, exploration and light puzzle solving. Interact with Irina and your family members to discover how they feel, their deep desires and what they may be hiding. Rummage around the mansion and the surrounding estate for clues, optional puzzles, misplaced documents, and insights into the family and its past. Embark on a journey of self-discovery as you eventually come to terms with your choices, their consequences, and the unexpected legacy of your lineage.
