February 15, 2024 - Action Square announced on the 15th that their newly developed dungeon crawler, "Dungeon Stalkers," was selected by Steam as one of the most played demos during the Steam Next Fest.

The gaming platform, Steam, conducted the "Steam Next Fest" event for a week starting from February 5th. Steam Next Fest is a demo showcase festival where developers and users worldwide can preview upcoming releases on Steam for a week. Game companies also engage with users in real-time through streaming, providing gameplay videos. Around 1,300 new titles seemed to have participated in this event.

Due to the enthusiastic support and requests from users, the demo play period for Dungeon Stalkers has been extended until Feb 16th. Upon re-opening the demo, the game broke its own record for the highest concurrent players on the first day.

Dae-hoon Han, the Head Producer of Action Square Studio HG, expressed, "It's an honor for Dungeon Stalkers to be selected among the most played demo," and stated, "I hope everyone enjoys playing during the remaining test period, and we will reflect the diverse feedback from users in delivering a polished final version."

Developed by Studio HG, Dungeon Stalkers is a PvEvP exploration action RPG combining dungeon crawler and battle royale genres.

Dungeon Stalkers attracted over 100,000 players during last week's Steam Next Fest. The average playtime for these users was 95 minutes, with over 90% of global users coming from the United States, Japan, China, and other countries. Notably, the live streaming conducted by the developer had over a thousand viewers, reaching the top 5 in overall broadcast rankings.

Meanwhile, HYBE IM, a gaming subsidiary of HYBE, entered into partnership with Action Square last week by signing a publishing agreement for Dungeon Stalkers' global service along with a strategic investment. Through this investment, Action Square plans to leverage the expertise of both companies to enhance the service quality of Dungeon Stalkers.
