Glasgow, Scotland — Animancer have today announced three upcoming products for 5E D&D, all launching May 3rd: Vaz'kin'rai, Enchiridion: Vaz'kin'rai, and Sonoria: Vaz'kin'rai. The full suite of Vaz'kin'rai products gives 5E GMs a new one-shot for 1st level characters, audio soundscapes and sound effects to enhance the adventure, and a player-facing supplement for new lineage options, a new subclass and background, and six new magic items.

Vaz'kin'rai is a dungeon-based one-shot taking place in the Animancer original campaign setting, but setting-neutral enough to be adapted for other settings easily. In the provided hook, characters are attacked in a tavern by a mysterious construct erupting from the basement, leading the heroes to investigate a cave system below and discovering the cosmic vault of Vaz'kin'rai. Along their journey they meet the salari, friendly telepathic salamanders, and eventually come to meet Keeper Mar'dir, a vor'tai monk of the Silver Staff, tasked with guarding an ancient shapeshifting menace. The standoff with Mar'dir forms the climax of the adventure, and allows the module to serve as a single night of play, the beginning of a campaign with psychic or astral themes, or a detour for an existing campaign that can still set up conflicts and intrigue in later sessions.

The adventure features two new creature statblocks, with Keeper Mar'dir's utilising the Animancer Paragon Monster framework for legendary and solo enemy encounters, four new magic items, five premade characters suitable for the adventure, suggestions for other hooks and aftermaths, and a host of original artwork from Izzy Collins, Emma Durno, and Robin Baxter.

Enchiridion: Vaz'kin'rai takes the organisations, people, and themes of the Vaz'kin'rai adventure, and brings them to life as player-facing content. The supplement contains lineage options for playing as a salari or vor'tai character, lineage feats for salari and vor'tai, six new magic items (one of each rarity), a background for characters originally of the Silver Staff, and the Way of the Silver Staff, a monastic tradition for playing as a psychic monk from the astral plane.

Sonoria: Vaz'kin'rai is a free collection of audio files designed for use with the adventure. It features five sound effects to tie in with key moments in the adventure, and three loopable ambiences for the three main locales the adventure takes place in. These loopable ambiences are provided in both stereo and binaural (designed for greater immersion when listened to with headphones by modelling how the human head affects the sounds we hear) formulations, and in MP3, OGG, and FLAC file formats.

Vaz'kin'rai will retail for £4.95 on the Animancer webstore, DriveThruRPG, and Itch.io.

Enchiridion: Vaz'kin'rai will retail for £3.95 on the Animancer webstore, DriveThruRPG, and Itch.io.

Both Vaz'kin'rai and Enchiridion: Vaz'kin'rai will also be available in the Vaz'kin'rai: Deluxe Edition bundle, which will retail for £7.49 on the Animancer webstore, DriveThruRPG, and Itch.io.

Sonoria: Vaz'kin'rai will be available to download for free through the Animancer webstore, DriveThruRPG, and Itch.io.

The Vaz'kin'rai suite is also expected to launch as Foundry Premium Content on May 3rd (via the Animancer webstore and DriveThruRPG), with Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds conversions to follow.

Animancer's previous release, The Corwyn Catacombs, garnered strong positive reviews.
