LYON, FRANCE - 21 October 2005 - Atari today announced that the latest installment of the globally popular Duel MastersTM video game series is available at retailers across Europe. Packed with new features, Duel Masters: Shadow of the Code takes players on a brand new quest to learn the true meaning and value of the Kaijudo Code. With access to all 600 cards released to date, the player takes the role of a well-known rising star in the Duel Masters circuit with legendary skills.

An enhanced game cartridge allows for improvements to the graphical quality of both environments and game characters in Duel Masters: Shadow of the Code, as well as providing capacity for the 600 Duel MastersTM cards. Every single card available to date from the first 8 sets is included making this an essential addition for fans of the trading card genre and Duel Masters.

New features include a completely new story and game world to explore, the ability to teleport into the creature world, new tournaments with their own house rules, 5 new mini games inspired by arcade classic, brand new Pocket Gizmo that conveys & stores important information, and a new Duel Room for quick challenges against any opponents encountered throughout the game.

Improved AI, new music, updated tutorial with new card rules, and improved deck management are some of the many other enhancements. With the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable players can battle and trade cards on their quest to build the most powerful deck.
