Press release for immediate release

21st December 2005

Kakuro is the logical next step for all puzzle fans who have mastered Sudoku and are craving an addictive new challenge.

Kakuro follows similar principles to Sudoku, but it involves addition and is therefore a lot trickier to solve. A Kakuro puzzle consists of a grid containing blank and filled squares, similar to a Sudoku puzzle. Some squares contain numbered "clues" which apply to a particular row or column. Players must fill in the blank squares using the numbers 1 to 9, trying to match the totals provided by the clues, without repeating a number.

Focus Multimedia's new Infinite Kakuro follows hot on the heels of the company's hugely successful Infinite Sudoku CD-ROM. Containing unlimited Kakuro puzzles to solve, the PC game features multiple board sizes, varying difficulty levels, the ability to print puzzles, hints, a full tutorial for beginners, save game and email options.

Craig Johnson, managing director of Focus Multimedia, said: "Kakuro is the brain-teasing number puzzle that's winning over Sudoku fans everywhere. Our Infinite Kakuro CD-ROM is ideal for puzzlers of all abilities and, like Infinite Sudoku, provides an unlimited supply of grids to play on screen or print out on paper. The possibilities are endless, so prepare your brain for many hours of addiction!"

More popular than Sudoku in Japan, Kakuro fever is already gripping Britain. Puzzles now appear regularly in national newspapers and over 50 Kakuro books will be hitting the nation's shelves over the next few months.

Infinite Kakuro can be yours for only £9.99 including VAT. The game will be available to buy from all good retailers of PC CD-ROM products in January 2006. Meantime, you can jump straight to the front of the queue by ordering your copy now from www.focusmm.co.uk.

Infinite Sudoku is available now from all good PC software retailers, or direct from www.focusmm.co.uk, with a recommended retail price of only £9.99 including VAT.
