Alten8 is please to announce that within just 11 months of forming, it has signed up an impressive range of both retro games licenses, and all new titles across a spectrum of formats, with release dates spread across the forthcoming months for these.
Alten8 now has one of the largest 'non-corporate giant', back-catalogues of retro games, which is still growing on a daily basis, the list which covers, Commodore C64, Vic 20, Sinclair Spectrum and Amiga, PC, etc. now boasts over 500 licensed games across these and other formats. Many of these games will be released soon, working in conjunction with the IP owners of both games and formats, on current formats such as PC CD, PS2, GBA, and online play, covered by several publishing deals to be announced fully shortly in further press releases.
Not only that but Alten8 is pushing ahead with its range of budget phone games, 16 of them already out with ultra low prices for the casual gamer market, but also releasing a range of 3D phone games soon too. About to be released also this week is phone 'content' never before seen on phones and other mobile formats, which will be sold not only through its own new www.mobileretro.com site, but also through Clickgamer, and other world-wide content aggregators recently signed to.
All new IP is also featured heavily from Alten8, with the 'Shokrok-Throwdown' game from Dark Inertia Studios, QuickSuduko', and 'Retro-Bomber', all for PC, already available through Clickgamer and other download sites.
Alten8 has been commissioned to create all new GBA games by its new co-publishing partners, the number of which should exceed 8 within six months, with others to follow. Full details to be released in further press releases.
Alten8 will also be releasing 'Mr Beanbag', the all new retro inspired, but totally up to date game, across retro formats, as well as new ones. This received intense attention from trial players at the 2005 CGEUK show, and Alten8 expects good things from it.
Finally Alten8 has an all new title coming to Pocket PC, Win32, Phone, GBA and other formats still in discussion . This all new horror based, fighter game, had an initial brief to create a game which becomes one of the best selling pocket pc game ever, but has grown to look like having the potential to out perform that initial brief.
Finally Alten8 wishes it to be known, that despite some delays, the all 'new' Retro based magazine it is backing, RETRO:BYTES' is still going ahead, and will see print and other formats as soon as practical.
Alten8 is committed to a long term plan of expansion, in both its role of content developer, publisher and distributor. Working with both new, and established authors and companies, it welcomes all interested parties to contact it.
