After changing the title from Chinese City Constructor, we continue our work on providing the highest quality possible to the players. This refreshing rebranding marks a new era in the game’s development, allowing us to bring the best out of our ideas. In preparation for the upcoming Steam Next Fest in February, we want to test all features we want to show off in the demo of Celestial Empire. This means we would love players to see and mess around with many mechanics and features planned for the game’s full release.
This includes, but is not limited to:
first two tiers of citizens, many buildings assigned to them,
meaningful events which will help guide the players through the game,
the first handcrafted map,
system of production chains,
system of needs for the citizens,
beginning of a complex religion mechanic.
The playtesters will experience a demo that will already hint at the huge scope of the game’s final form. They will play as the governor, taking care of a region under the Emperor’s protection. As they immerse themselves in the historical setting of Han and Tang inspired province, they will have to make choices and appease mythical beings to help their citizens prosper.
We will await your feedback and ideas for additional elements and even mechanics, so don’t hesitate to write to us! The game is still in relatively early development and many features still can change following your directions.
