LONDON, 24 February 2006, Multiplay - Multiplay, organiser of the largest LAN parties in the UK and Europe's biggest Online GSP, is excited to announce the involvement of Creative Labs for their i27 LAN in April. Creative Labs, one of the world leaders in digital entertainment products for the PC, will be providing £1,750 in prize money for the 1v1 X-Fi Quake 4 Cup.
Craig Fletcher, Managing Director of Multiplay, said "It's great to welcome Creative Labs back once again to another i-Series. After the success of our partnership at i26 we were glad to hear they were coming back for i27. Their involvement has given our Quake 4 tournament some big stakes, meaning we should see some great matches."
John Moseley of Creative said "Creative are excited to be supporting i27 and the X-Fi Quake 4 Cup. The i-Series is clearly the premier BYOC LAN in the UK mixing seriously competitive gaming, seriously competitive DDR and a seriously competitive pub quiz. We had a great time at i26 and can't wait to come back to show people how Quake 4's X-Fi optimised audio engine delivers super-accurate positional audio (even over stereo headphones), stunning audio quality, and ultra fast frame rates."
Creative will be providing the £1,750 prize fund alongside armfuls of hardware, including their latest Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty. Gamers will be able to see the Sound Blaster X-Fi alongside other cutting edge technology from Creative on their demonstration stand at the event.
i27 takes place between 14th - 17th April 2006 in Newbury, UK. With space for up to 1,000 players it's the UK's biggest and most successful LAN party. Find out more by going to www.multiplay.co.uk/i27.
