Cambridge, UK. February 20, 2006 - D3Publisher of Europe Ltd. (D3PE) a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, today announced the forthcoming release of Cabbage Patch Kids: Where's My Pony? on PC.
"With the surge in popularity of nostalgia toys, the Cabbage Patch Kids franchise was a perfect opportunity for D3PE, since they personify the toys of the '80s," said Nick Clarkson, PR & Marketing Manager for D3PE. "The tremendous success of the Cabbage Patch Kids re-launch combined with the impending introduction of new toys in the spring meant the timing was right to create a fun 'kids' gaming experience in the interactive market."
"The addition of the Cabbage Patch Kids brand to D3PE's product release schedule further solidifies our strategy of focusing on very select platforms and genres with the greatest market opportunities," said David Hope Managing Director of D3PE. "Cabbage Patch Kids, in addition to our Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi license, supports our objectives during this period of console transition."
Since the birth of Cabbage Patch Kids in 1983, more than 100 million one-of-a-kind dolls have been "adopted" throughout the world, and their unique individual features and representation of all races and ethnicities have established the 'Kids as one of the most loved and popular children's products of all time.
Cabbage Patch Kids: Where's My Pony? will be released in March 2006 for the PC with a MRRP of £9.99.
