Darkworks | SAN FRANCISCO, CA - March 7, 2005 - DARKWORKS S.A., one of the leading French video game development studios, is set to present the making of its latest, breathtaking action-horror game Cold Fear, during RENDERWARE's event at the 2005 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
Published by Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, the Cold Fear "Making of" presentation will be conducted by Antoine Villette, Darkworks' CEO and will take place on March 9th at 4pm in the RENDERWARE booth located at #422 with limited seating.
"DARKWORKS latest title Cold Fear is a visually spectacular, action horror game [...]. It blends some of what you'd expect from the genre with a unique camera system and a world that pitches and rolls with the waves. The result is a game which is set to change the genre" stated RENDERWARE's publisher CRITERION SOFTWARE on its web site.
One of the latest titles from Ubisoft and Darkworks, Cold Fear sets a new example of video game excellence and raises the bar of the action-horror genre. Targeting a mature audience, the game takes place aboard a mysterious, creepy Russian whaler stranded in the middle of a horrific storm in the Bering Sea. Players step into the role of Tom Hansen, a U.S. Coast Guard who is sent to board the whaling ship and who will immediately discover there is no safe place - anywhere. Set on both a shifty, rocking ship and a mysterious oil rig, players must use their interactive surroundings to their advantage to take down human enemies - and enemies that aren't human any more - and save their own life.
Cold Fear is scheduled to ship March 15th for the PlayStation®2 and the Xbox® system from Microsoft. For more information, news and updated content about the game, visit the official website at www.coldfeargame.com or www.ubi.com.
