ESDigital Games Rounds up North American Tour

ESDigital Games :

Leading Indie global video game publisher ESDigital Games has been hitting the road and showcasing its exciting portfolio of games on the show floor of GDC in San Francisco and PAX East in Boston. 

GDC saw ESDigital Games take to the GDC Play show floor with an exciting line-up of titles, which included the newly announced stealth-action game Steel Seed. 

The Mix Indie Showcase kicked things off with an exclusive global reveal trailer for Steel Seed, the thrilling new title from developer Storm in a Teacup. Steel Seed transports players to a dark future sci-fi world where humanity's fate hangs in the balance as the protagonist Zoe and her drone companion JOBY search a vast robotic factory in search of the truth behind humanity’s demise. Steel Seed was playable on the GDC Play show floor, with Roberto from the development team on hand to walk players through the demo. 

Other playable titles on the show floor included the complex alchemy RPG game BattleJuice Alchemist which was awarded the ‘GDC Best in Play 2024’ accolade at the show and also released on Steam Early Access. More exciting news came from the deep story-driven narrative sci-fi adventure Sky of Tides with an announcement of the ‘2024’ release window and also the news that a new 5 part animated TV series based on the game is currently in production and due to release later this year. Finally the Metroidvania style side-scrolling platformer AWAKEN - Astral Blade delighted fans with its stunning art style and fast paced gameplay. All titles were hands-on on PC and Steam Deck. 

The team then travelled east to the hugely popular industry and consumer show PAX East in Boston, where the RTS/tower defense/tile-matching game Cats on Duty and the story-driven action shooter Memory Lost were both playable on the show floor for fans to try for themselves. The show was once again a packed event with gamers travelling from far and wide to get their hands-on the latest titles and the feedback on these two great games was extremely positive with the gaming stations always in high demand!

Steel Seed - Steam | EGS | PS | Xbox 

Steel Seed is a stealth action-adventure game set in a dark, sci-fi world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to seemingly irreparable climate change. Join protagonist Zoe and her flying drone companion KOBY as they investigate the depths of a hostile underground facility in search of answers and the key to mankind's survival. 

AWAKEN: Astral Blade - Steam | EGS | PS

Weave your own story in this dark 2D Metroidvania, side-scrolling game from developer Dark Pigeon Games. Join Tania, the bionically enhanced protagonist as she is sent deep into the rainforests in search of a missing Investigation Force.  Here Tania’s journey truly begins when she discovers ancient secrets buried deep within the ruins of the forest and she must discover the truth of her own origins and destiny. 

Battlejuice Alchemist - Steam | EGS | PS | Xbox | Nintendo Switch (Out Now on Steam Early access) 

Battlejuice Alchemist, developed by Alchemic Works, is a complex alchemy RPG that adds an equipment-based skill system to the classic aRPG formula. Focus on top-down combat or opt for JRPG-style one-on-one fights. Explore the wilderness, learn ritual magic, and craft potions to fight demonic hordes overrunning the lands.

Memory Lost - Steam | EGS | PS | Xbox | Nintendo Switch 

Memory Lost is a story-driven action shooter built around innovative game mechanics based on capturing enemies' minds and taking control of their bodies. With no med packs available and only one magazine in your weapon, you must change bodies in order to survive!
