Fan-Favourite Ticket to Ride® Expansion Goes Digital for the First Time Ever

The digital version of Ticket to Ride heads to San Francisco for its next expansion

Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment have released another major content update for the popular digital rendition of Ticket to Ride. For the first time, the San Francisco City Expansion has been recreated for video game platforms.

 

The city expansion brings two new characters and a whole host of new locomotives, carriages and vehicles to the game. Plus, players will not only be travelling to a new location but also to a new time period – the Swinging Sixties!

 

The more compact nature of the San Francisco map makes it perfect for players looking for a quick game. This new city expansion will also introduce the brand-new rematch feature across all of Ticket to Ride’s available expansions. Once a game ends, players can hit the “Rematch” button in the endgame screen to remain in the lobby. The next game will be with those who also agreed to a rematch, reducing the time it takes to set up another match. 

 

Players will also be treated to a new mechanic for earning points in the form of Souvenir Tokens. These collectables appear around the map, and picking them up will mean more points at the end of the game. 
 

To celebrate the first-ever digital version of the San Francisco map, players will be offered a bonus token, chosen by our community,  regardless of whether they purchased the new expansion.

  As always, the latest expansion brings two more characters to the game. Fashion designer Summer Ashbury offers a lift in her cutesy Bay Bug, hop into movie star Felix Woods’ sleek Gazelle or cruise around in your very own Flower Power camper van. Or, keep it on the rails with the Municipal Wings, Golden Ribbon and Hillside Heritage cable cars.
 

The San Francisco City Expansion is available to download on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Steam, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store now, and it’s coming soon to Nintendo Switch!
