Premier Europe flight sim website, SimFlight, held their annual awards ceremony at the weekend - with prizes based on a popular vote by its readers.

Flight1 and their partners took no less than four awards: Best Airliner, Best Business and Commuter Aircraft, Best General Aviation Aircraft, and Best Customer Support.

The simFlight Awards are now in their 4th year and are the only awards of the industry that are attributed by the actual users of the awarded products, through a public poll that takes place a few weeks before the awards evening.

Flight1 won awards for the products as follows:

  • The Level-D Simulations 767 - Published by Flight1, won for Best Airliner

  • The Flight One ATR - Designed by Flight1, won for Best Business and Commuter Aircraft

  • The A36 Bonanza - Designed by DreamFleet won for Best General Aviation Aircraft

Flight1 also won Best Customer Support, and took runner-up prizes for the 172 Skyhawk, Aeroworx King Air B200, Dreamfleet 727, and Ultimate Traffic, all in a variety of categories.

Some of the development team for the ATR and the A36, as well as Flight1 Europe's Managing Director, Mungo Amyatt-Leir, were on hand to collect the prizes in person. Mungo commented: "Flight1 is immensely proud of the developers it works with and it is fabulous to see all the hard work and dedication rewarded with recognition by the general public with these awards. It really goes to show that we are publishing the products that the public wants and backing that up with excellent service!"
