An acronym for Government, Academic, Military, Entertainment and Simulation, the G.A.M.E.S. Synergy Summit 2006 addresses the convergence of interactive gaming, simulation protocols, and the next generation of beneficial applications for interactive multimedia tools, techniques, and technologies. GSS06 is the premier event bringing together multiple disciplines with business and industry leaders involved in using the latest game related tools, techniques and technologies to entertain, teach, inform, train and educate. Unlike other conferences, G.A.M.E.S. Synergy Summit focuses on collaboration in developing common understandings, identifying commonalities and differences, forging useful relationships, sharing knowledge and best practices, as well as looking to future developments. This is the conference where cross discipline relationships are made and deals get done!
Here's what one of last year's attendees had to say:
"The G.A.M.E.S. Synergy Summit in early 2005 was one of the best, most informative conferences I have attended since the early years of the GDC. The intimate setting, excellent speakers, amazing food and drink, and participants all added up to an experience that was unexcelled before or since. I learned a ton from the speeches and have had deals come to fruition through contacts I made at the show. This is an amazing yet down to Earth conference where actual deals are made that I would highly recommend for anyone trying to learn something about how games can benefit other disciplines and vice versa. Attend the Summit in 2006 if you can; miss it at your peril."
Billy Cain, VP of Development / Geek, Critical Mass Interactive, Inc.
GSS06 WILL BE BETTER THAN EVER!
With the success of the inaugural conference, GSS06 will be better than ever. In addition to last year's format that included the Welcoming Reception, Plenary Sessions, Technology Exposition, Networking Reception and Hospitality Suites Night, Working Groups and three Bridges, a fourth "Bridge" on Funding and Financing of Interactive Multimedia Projects has been added to the conference schedule as well as a "Demo Zone" where independent developers and small technology companies can show off their games and technologies. GSS06 will bring you more speakers, more workshops and more networking opportunities.
Remember, "The most interesting things happen where disciplines intersect."
The GSS06 will be at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. The new facility has superior conference facilities and a state of the art exhibition center. That, along with lush gardens and romantic lagoons, make it easy to forget that the resort is located on the bustling International Drive with close proximity to the many attractions that Orlando has to offer.
This year, the GSS06 will have more to offer its attendees and will continue to stimulate dialogue and establish new relationships across the G.A.M.E.S. Disciplines.

It's January in Orlando and the inaugural Martin Luther King Day G.A.M.E.S. Cross-Discipline Golf Outing will be a great way to network and have some fun at the same time. The Outing will be a real mixer, with the members of each foursome selected from among the different G.A.M.E.S. Disciplines. It will be held at the gorgeous Shingle Creek Golf Club. Shingle Creek's undulating fairways and interconnected waterways will make this championship golf course an enjoyable way to begin the GSS06.
