Press release for immediate release

1st December 2005

If you've been seduced by Sudoku then it's time to go crazy for Kakuro, the exciting new number puzzle that's sweeping the nation.

Not only is Kakuro incredibly addictive, but it's the logical next step for everyone who has mastered Sudoku and is now looking for a taxing new challenge.

Kakuro follows similar principles to Sudoku, but it's even more challenging. It's still based on logic, but is more difficult and involves addition. A Kakuro puzzle consists of grids containing empty squares, and numbered clues that represent the total of each column and row. Players must fill in the squares using the numbers 1 to 9, while matching the target totals.

Focus Multimedia's new Infinite Kakuro follows hot on the heels of the software publisher's hugely successful Infinite Sudoku CD-ROM released in July 2005. Containing unlimited Kakuro puzzles to solve, the game features multiple board sizes, varying difficulty levels, print puzzles, hints, save game and email options.

Craig Johnson, managing director of Focus Multimedia, said: "Britain's desire for challenging number puzzles has been ignited by Sudoku, and with coverage in national newspapers and books, the Kakuro phenomenon is already underway."

He added: "Infinite Kakuro is the ultimate PC CD-ROM package for number puzzle fans, providing unlimited grids to solve either on-screen or on paper. With varying difficulty levels even the most able puzzlers will have their work cut out. The possibilities are endless, so prepare for addiction!"

Focus Multimedia's Infinite Kakuro will be available to buy from all good retailers of PC CD-ROM products, in January 2006. The recommended retail price is just £9.99 including VAT.
