IRVINE, Calif. - Oct. 14, 2010
Ntreev USA, Inc., developer and publisher of several popular free-to-play games, today announced details about the upcoming Grand Chase World Championship. The tournament, in which players from six countries will fight it out for $20,000 in total winnings, will take place in South Korea from Oct. 29 through Oct. 31.To help all Grand Chase players get in on the action, Ntreev is also hosting a Facebook event where players can create tournament brackets and predict which team will win. These two events are coming on the heels of the release of a full Grand Chase guild system.

“We are thrilled to provide our players with continual promotions for and additions to our games,” said Chris Lee, CEO of Ntreev USA. “Grand Chase’s World Tournament is a fantastic competition between the very best Grand Chase players from across the world, and we are looking forward to seeing how well our players predict the outcome on Facebook.”

The Grand Chase World Tournament will include 3 players each from Korea, Brazil, Taiwan, USA, Thailand and Indonesia for a total of 18 participants. These top Grand Chase brawlers will compete for cash prizes in 3v3 team matches as well as 1v1 solo matches – and every North American participant will walk away with a pair of GWC Astro headsets. The tournament is scheduled to run from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31, and will take place in the Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center in Daegu, South Korea.

“Not only do I get to represent North America in Grand Chase,” said JRTSeven, a North America Grand Chase team member headed to the World Championship Tournament. “but I get to travel to South Korea, meet the Ntreev and KOG staff, hang out with some bros, and overall have the time of my life. I feel truly honored.

The Facebook event connected to the tournament allows more fans to participate in the World Tournament from afar by selecting tournament brackets in a bid to guess the victorious players at the event. The most accurate predictions will win prizes, with the grand prize being a pair of custom-made GWC Astro headsets. Players must submit their brackets between Oct. 22 12:00 a.m. PST and Oct. 28 5:00 p.m. PST.

And just when it seems the excitement is waning, Ntreev will be bringing more community events to its players in celebration of the recent release of a guild system for Grand Chase. To create a guild, players can visit Guild Manager Bestair in the Park and redeem Game Points.
