Vancouver, 12 Dec 2018: The studio lights are dimmed, the cameras are rolling, and a giant eagle is dropping clusters of cute animals by umbrella into an island paradise. Welcome to Super Animal Royale, the first nature show with machine guns. Pick your favorite animal, but don’t get too attached: in all likelihood it will only live for six minutes or less. The cuddly carnage begins TODAY!

Why today, you ask? Because we believe the world can’t wait for a fresh take on the battle royale genre, one that acknowledges the joyous absurdity of the genre’s premise. Because we’ve learned so much from our amazing beta community, and we’re ready to learn even more from a larger Early Access community. And, also, because we ran out of beta keys yesterday.

About Super Animal Royale
Super Animal Royale is a top-down multiplayer survival shooter for up to sixty-four endearingly deadly creatures. Engineered to charm and trained to kill, Super Animals are cute enough to make you go “Aww” and deadly enough to make you go “Ahhhh!” Select your favorite from a menu of foxes, pandas, kitty cats, and other bloodthirsty beasts. Parachute into the ruins of an ill-fated safari park and fight off a lethal barrage of bullets, explosives, and silly dancing. Enjoy carefully balanced run and gun gameplay combined with an intuitive fog of war system that restricts a player’s view to line of sight, allowing for sneaky, strategic play. Matches are a brisk six minutes, so you’ll never be out of the action for too long. Explore a beautiful 2D world, inspired by classic top-down adventure games. Cut tall grass and loot abandoned structures in search of the guns, explosives and health juice you’ll need to reach the top of the food chain.

As of Early Access launch, the game already features more than 50 animal breeds to research and unlock in the lab, and over 100 cosmetic items to earn, so you can make each Super Animal your own.

Super Animal Royale is now in Early Access on Steam after an extensive public Beta test, priced at a competitive $12.99 (USD). The game will debut with an extended free weekend (Weds Dec 12, 4am PST to Sun Dec 16, 4am) that also includes a 10% discount to celebrate its arrival on Early Access. A Founder’s Edition is also available with a ton of cool cosmetic enhancements (3 animal breeds + 10 items) and is bundled with the game’s original soundtrack for $25.17.

The Pixile team is spread out between Canada, the United States, Italy and Argentina, but is united by a love of games, art and animals.
