London, UK - 12th January, 2006: I-play, the mobile games company, today announced that Jewel QuestTM , I-play's mobile adaptation of iWin's hugely popular online puzzle game has won the award for the 'Best Puzzle Game' of 2005 from Mobile Game Faqs.
Here's what the reviewers at Mobile Game Faqs said:
"Jewel QuestTM : Simply the best. Even though it was completed months ago, we still find ourselves drifting back to this block switching game.
According to Mobile Game Faqs, "2005 saw the developers move towards a new audience; the casual gamer. There has been a whole host of conversions from popular shockwave/flash based PC games to your mobile. You cannot blame them. Easy controls and bright simple graphics will always fit nicely on a mobile. That's not to say making a puzzle game is easy. Many have tried and most have failed. The following finalists have got the blend between addictive gameplay, graphics and controls. There are a number of PC conversions but there is a couple of original ideas as well."
The mobile edition of Jewel QuestTM received rave reviews from a number of other influential gaming websites:
"I-play's sparkling puzzler is one of 2005's absolute must-haves."
9.1/10 - IGN Wireless
"Jewel QuestTM is a terrific puzzle game that's highly addictive. Puzzle lovers should eat this mobile version up."

This is the second accolade that Jewel QuestTM has recently received. Last December, Jamba (Jamster outside of Germany), the world's most successful off-portal distributor of mobile entertainment, chose Jewel QuestTM as "Best Mobile Game 2005". Jamba's jury of gaming experts awarded Jewel QuestTM the portal's "Goldener Zockerdaumen" (German for "Golden Gamer's thumb").
David Gosen, acting CEO, I-play commented: "We are very excited that Jewel QuestTM has received this recognition from Mobilegamefaqs. Jewel QuestTM presents one thumb gaming at its best - simple, challenging and compelling to all."
