8 February 2012, Singapore and Malaysia – Asiasoft Online ("Asiasoft") announces the launch of JUMP, a content update where the three job classes - Warrior, Bowman and Magician, user interface and party quests will be revamped. In addition, new maps and monsters will be introduced to enhance the gaming experience in MapleStory.

JUMP patch will be divided into two phases. The first phase, entitled Arising of The Origins, is launched today and will see a major revamp and rebalance to the Warrior, Bowman and Magician jobs in the Explorer and Knights of Cygnus classes, a move to keep it fun and interesting for our gamers.

Another key highlight of the first phase is the introduction of Treasure Monsters. They look like their peers but with a slight difference as they are tagged uniquely when they spawn in their respective maps. What makes them so special is that they drop items of higher value such as advanced scrolls and Trait items, as compared to their normal counterparts. Depending on their levels, they will also drop the much sought after Spiegelmann's Monster Park Entry Tickets or Mystery Mastery books.

Other key updates to look out for in the first phase will be the revamped User Interface and Party Quests. Changes have been made to the user skills inventory, notification systems, maps and search functions. Gamers can now access their mount and guild skills easily, receive reminders on their unused Skill Points ("SP") and Ability Points ("AP"), and keep track of their medal collection with a simple click of a button.

Gamers can also locate their favourite NPCs easily in towns as the NPCs are differentiated through colours and icons on the mini maps and with the revamped quest notification system, they will also be able to determine the types of outstanding quests they have currently.

Those into Party Quests can also find out the recommended levels for easier organisation among friends before their expedition to challenge the quests. The rewards and Experience Points ("EXP") from these party quests have also been adjusted to keep gamers engaged during their journey on these challenges.

Gamers who prefer training in challenging maps such as Gate to the Future and Lion King's Castle will be delighted to know that the World Map view has been added to these regions, which means they can effectively plan for training in suitable maps and not be surprised by monster attacks way beyond their levels could handle. There are also other refreshing adjustments to the monster levels and map names for maps such as Neo Tokyo, Forest of Poison Haze and Gate to the Future.

The second phase of JUMP, entitled the Amazing Monster Park, will take place in March 2012! Much like its namesake, it signals the release of a new map called Monster Park.

Monster Park is a new party zone for gamers who are of Level 13 and higher, and within the park, they can go on a solo challenge or team up with their friends and buddies to defeat the monsters that lay within this park. Gamers will have to be on their toes and not be fooled by the seemingly harmless monsters, as these monsters are much stronger and yield higher HP, but the rewards for success will in turn be more satisfying.

"The JUMP content update is an exciting event for MapleSEA as it is part of the constant efforts to maintain the balance of the game and to enhance and improve the overall gaming experience for our gamers." said Mr Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft Online. "With the revamp and new map launches in this content update, gamers can look forward to new challenges and opportunities to re-ignite their friendships as they work together to battle against strong monsters and be rewarded handsomely for their efforts."
