London, 25.01.06. Today, Skill Gaming giant King.com issues a challenge to the world's Sudoku players with the launch of the first online Sudoku for cash. In 'Sudoku Sweep', Players create a Sudoku board using slowly falling number tiles, and receive extra points for ambitious numerical structures. Successful players will be able to use their Sudoku skills to win money at King.com, while improvers can simply play for free. The Sudoku Sweep game will appeal to the mainstream offline audience of Sudoku players that has materialised over the last two years and will introduce them to the fun of playing competitively for small stakes online.
Simple Sudoku-style games such as word games, puzzles and online pool are very popular at King.com, and continue to drive rapid increases in the number of games played on the site. King.com focuses on developing games that are particularly suited to skill gaming and has an active game design studio. The games are offered in 9 different languages and across all King.com partners globally.
The Sudoku Sweep game is open to all and can be played for free in the practice environment on King.com or competitively for stakes from US$0.50.
Toby Rowland, Director and Co-Founder of King.com commented: 'Sudoku Sweep will appeal strongly to our audience across the US and Europe. We think it's much more fun than the paper version.'
