7th February 2006. Oxford, UK. Lincoln Beasley PR, the leading specialist in PR for game development studios today announced the signing of two innovative and exciting new UK companies - FreestyleGames and Geomerics.
These two new outfits join Blitz Games, Frontier Developments, Kuju Entertainment, Relentless Software and SN Systems on Lincoln Beasley's full-time client roster.
Alison Beasley, Managing Director of Lincoln Beasley, said "I'm extremely pleased to be working for Freestyle and Geomerics and delighted to add them to my small but highly creative stable of talented and savvy game developers. These guys and developers the world over are the real stars of this industry and deserve far more recognition than they have received in the past."
She continued, "Each studio has its own philosophy, strategy, technology and personalities. PR is directly related to sales and, now more than ever, developers need to raise their profiles and shout about what they do."
FreestyleGames and Geomerics recognise the need for PR in raising their company profiles for many reasons including recruitment of valuable new staff.
Julian Davis, CTO Geomerics commented, "Having worked with Lincoln Beasley at Kuju, I'm extremely pleased that we can continue to work together now that I've joined Geomerics". Her industry experience and enthusiasm are invaluable."
Chris Lee, Commercial Director of FreestyleGames added, "We've known Alison for a while and have always been impressed with the work that Lincoln Beasley has done for other developers, most recently for our friends at Relentless. She has great awareness and knowledge of the industry, understands the requirements of independent developers and shares our passion for what we do."
FreestyleGames, based in Warwickshire, was founded by a highly experienced management team, including David Osbourn and Jamie Jackson, and is due to announce its first title very shortly. Geomerics, based in Cambridge, was founded in 2005 by a group of ex-Cambridge luminaries and recently recruited former Kuju Director, Julian Davis as CTO. The company is due to unveil its potentially revolutionary technology, based on Geometric Algebra, at the forthcoming GDC this March.
