Staten Island, NY, Sept 7th, 2005 - Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) officially announces that Lock and Load: Band of Heroes is available for purchase and shipping from the Matrix Games website. Lock and Load is the first board game published by Matrix Games and can be shipped world-wide from their online store.
Mark Walker's Lock and Load: Band of Heroes is a squad level board game. The game features the 82nd and 101st Airborn divisions in multiple scenarios and campaigns. As with the original game, each hex is 50 meters and turns are a few moments. Counters represent squads, leaders, heroes, medics and even the occasional chaplain or scout. Additionally units can bring support with them, such as machine guns, artillery, and even tanks!
The game includes scenarios such as The Medal of Honor battle, the final battle of Saving Private Ryan, and Call of Duty. Also included are tactical fighting missions that depict historic battles of the 101st, 82nd, and other companies in the war. The game includes 16 missions and comes with 6 geomorphic mounted map boards, and over 480 beautiful counters!
