February 1, 2022 – As Artstorm studio’s popular online naval action game Modern Warships nears 20M total downloads and 400K daily players, the developers release a new update. Patch 0.48.0 brings a clan system to the game, new game mechanics, a new map, new and updated playable units, and various fixes.

Update 0.48.0 patch notes:
Clans. Create or enter clans with up to 200 members and participate in a global clan leadership race.
New playable units: CN Type 058, a Chinese analog of the Zumwalt with a locked railgun that can fire in manual mode; X Wind 4000, a French trimaran with Bofors Stealth cannon, and two helicopters on board; J-50, a new generation Chinese fighter aircraft; J-25, a Chinese attack aircraft.
Remastered units: CN Type 055 ship, as well as Type 730 and Type 1130 machine guns.
New map. "Islands of Iceland" is filled with narrow passages, ideal for close-range combat and stealth. The location is based on our player’s map concept.
New game mechanics. Kill assist rewards and daily missions, timer setting in “Custom Game” mode, "Collision Hazard" warning, and others.
Graphics enhancements, bug fixes, and optimization.
