New Co-op Roguelite "Blackout Protocol" Opens Closed Beta Signup

December 19, 2022 -- Ocean Drive Studio, developer of Lost Eidolons, announces the first closed beta for Blackout Protocol–the new twin-stick, co-op roguelite shooter. 

Blackout Protocol’s first-ever closed beta will take place exclusively on Steam, from January 12th to the 16th. Signup is open now on the Blackout Protocol Steam store page. 

Blackout Protocol will launch on Steam’s Early Access Game program in the first half of 2023 where the studio will continue its philosophy of shaping the game with players’ feedback as demonstrated with the launch of Lost Eidolons.

Dong Soo Oh, Creative Director, shares: “I’m excited to finally be able to share Blackout Protocol with the public in our first beta. As a co-op game, it’s imperative that we have this beta to test the technical aspects of the game. But I believe it is equally as important to develop with the desires of the players in mind. This beta marks the first step in our journey of developing the game with the players, so it is a truly special milestone for me. I hope to receive lots of feedback and am especially looking forward to what the fans of roguelites, top-down games, and twin-stick shooters will have to say.”
