Nexon, ‘EA SPORTS FC Online’ and ‘EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Hosting Real World Exhibition Football Match in Seoul South Korea

Nexon announced today that its popular online football games ‘EA SPORTS FC™ Online (‘FC Online’)’ and ‘EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile (‘FC Mobile’)’ will host the ‘2024 Nexon Icon Match (‘Icon Match’)’, a real-world match featuring legendary football players from around the world.

The Icon Match is a premier event in which legendary footballers will compete in a once-in-a-lifetime match at Seoul World Cup Stadium on October 19 and 20, both starting at 6 PM KST. The exhibition match will feature teams composed entirely of strikers and defenders, with FC Spear (forward), led by Ivorian striker Didier Drogba, and Shield United (defender), captained by England’s central defender Rio Ferdinand. Other legends, including Ballon d'Or winners Kaka, Figo, Shevchenko, Owen, and Rivaldo, along with stars like Hazard, Forlán, and Tévez, will also make appearances.

The event will kick off on October 19 at 6 PM KST with a special pre-match event featuring 1-on-1 matchups and a shooting competition between the two teams, culminating in a full-on 90-minute match for the trophy on October 20th. Football fans can join the live kickoff at the official EA SPORTS FC Korea YouTube Channel.
