NOMAD GAMES ANNOUNCES ‘BOARD GAME CAFE’, A NEW BOARD GAME BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SIM

Leading digital board game developer and publisher Nomad Games today proudly announced their next project, Board Game Cafe. Nomad Games are the creators of much-loved digital board game adaptations such as ‘Talisman: Digital Edition’ and ‘CATAN® - Console Edition’, and this is their first title not based on adapting an existing property.
 
“We’ve spent over 11 years turning board games into video games, and for that reason we think that Board Game Cafe is a game only our studio could make!” said Don Whiteford, CEO of Nomad Games. “For years we’ve wanted to bring our expertise with board games together with our skills at making simulation-style games to create something new and exciting for players. We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally be doing it!”
 
Board Game Cafe is a business management game where players are tasked with running their very own board game cafe. Choosing their stock from real, officially licensed board games, players will be able to express themselves through their creative decor choices and the games on offer in their cafe. Customers will turn into regulars, as players learn their loves, quirks and watch their relationships grow and unfold with each other.
 
Players will also be able to open and unbox their favourite licensed board games, lovingly modelled in 3D and recreated digitally in Board Game Cafe. You’ll be able to inspect and organise titles from a wide range of well-known board game publishers, with more and more board games being added throughout the Early Access development process.

Board Game Cafe is planned for launch into Early Access on Steam in 2024.
