Play alone or go head-to-head with friends and family to find out if you've got the pop knowledge to top the virtual charts!

Plays on all standard DVD players - all you need is your remote control!

About the game:

Developed by DVD games company CiRCLE, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A MUSIC QUIZ offers single and multi-player modes and also features 3 different game-types: 'Top 20', 'Top 40' and 'I-Spy'.

Questions are selected from 5 different musical decades and 3 difficulty levels - and as well as answering correctly, players must use tactics in order to climb the virtual music charts!

CiRCLE's original programming also provides further interactivity via random elements and special challenge questions as players near the number one position. Tutorial commentary is provided by veteran DJ Mark Goodier and all content originates from Virgin, EMI and Universal's vast catalogue of musical assets.

About the collaboration

CiRCLE's collaboration with the NOW label is an exclusive profit-sharing agreement with the two 'NOW' partners EMI and Universal Music. The deal allows CiRCLE to create a series of 'NOW' iDVD games, the first to be released December 5th via Virgin/EMI/Universal

CiRCLE CEO, Jeremy-Heath Smith comments: 'Interactive DVD is an ideal format for us to showcase the diversity and high quality of the 'NOW' brand. Our collaboration with Virgin/EMI and Universal will provide highly entertaining and sociable quiz games that can be enjoyed by the whole family.'

Steve Pritchard, Co-Managing Director of EMI Television adds: 'Circle is at the forefront of this exciting new technology and their treatment of the NOW brand looks set to provide music fans with a highly entertaining test of their pop knowledge. We have every confidence that our collaboration will result in chart-topping products.'

About Circle

Circle was established in 2003 by CEO Jeremy Heath-Smith and Managing Director Adrian Smith. Circle's development is focused on the interactive DVD games format; the company has built strong relationships with global mass-market brands throughout 2005 and has recently confirmed agreements/licenses for the interactive DVD format with brands such as FIFA, FIFA World CupTM, 'NOW That's What I Call Music', NBA, 'The Discovery Channel' and 'Discovery KidsTM'

About interactive DVD

The interactive DVD format emerged late 2003 and has become one of the fastest growing categories in the toy sector, the most recognisable examples being Mattel's 'Scene iT?' and Universal's 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire', which have both sold circa one million units. Sales of DVD games grew 600% between 2003 and 2004 and the category is projected to reach $1billion in 2007. DVD games exploit the interactive capabilities of the DVD player and are typically family-orientated trivia, puzzle, adventure and learning games. The DVD player is the fastest growing consumer electronics device in the world; 300 million players are forecast to be in use by the end of 2005, rising to 493 million by 2010.*
