14th February 2024 – Solo developer Friendly Fox Games is excited to announce the launch of Infinite Worlds, an AI-powered, text-based adventure game releasing for all browsers on February 14th.


Utilising GPT-4 to drive storytelling and Stable Diffusion to generate visuals to bring each adventure to life, players will be able to create their own unique characters, branching narratives, and detailed worlds with the push of a button. The use of high-end artificial intelligence allows Infinite Worlds to tell sophisticated and immersive adventures.


For decades, pen and paper role playing games have offered unparalleled flexibility in storytelling, with players’ actions and outcomes being embraced and brought to life thanks to the imagination of the GM. By comparison, traditional video game RPGs and adventures have been limited by pre-written story beats and systems. Infinite Worlds aims to bring the freedom of tabletop RPGs to the screen; the AI foundation of Infinite Worlds gives players the ability to attempt any action they can think of, inventing outcomes to each action on the fly. Infinite Worlds’ system takes account of the current situation and the player characters' skills and backgrounds to tell deeply personal stories.


In Infinite Worlds, players can choose from a number of pre-built story settings or generate their own original universes to explore. Players looking to jump straight into exploration can dive into the developer’s own fully-realised worlds and characters, whilst those looking to create their own stories can have one created for them by simply describing the adventure they would like to play. For example, simply request “a steampunk adventure” or “a gritty spy thriller” to have those settings created before your eyes. Players who like to invest more time into their creations can use a detailed adventure editor to extensively customize the experience.


The integration of GPT-4 allows the kind of autonomous storytelling and adventure design that could only be achieved through the use of AI; no two worlds will ever be the same. With an AI companion acting as the player’s own storyteller, crafting engaging descriptions and creative story hooks, Infinite Worlds offers unlimited fuel for its players' creative fires. Since Infinite Worlds offers truly unique stories and worlds which are generated on the fly, the implementation of Stable Diffusion ensures that players’ adventures will always be accompanied by detailed and contextually-relevant visuals.


Developer Friendly Fox Games invites all writers, explorers, and role-players to create and immerse themselves in the worlds of their dreams within Infinite Worlds on February 14th. The browser game will be free-to-play and utilises a credit system to facilitate the ongoing progress through each player’s tailor-made stories. Additional credits can be purchased to drive further exploration.

Players will be able to begin their Infinite Worlds adventure from February 14th 2024 at infiniteworlds.app. Players who make new accounts will start with 500 credits to spend on the creation of their own unique story.
