The PlayStation 2 Freedom Weekenders at Thorpe Park and Alton Towers from 1st-4th September will take your breath away with sheer fun and entertainment.
Take on the most fearsome and exciting rides in the UK, and see your favourite bands perform, including Faithless, Feeder and Razorlight, plus lose yourself in the multitude of excellent and incredible PlayStation pursuits on offer...
Thorpe Park
Whether you want to listen to brilliant live bands including dance lords Faithless, rock kings Feeder or new indie starlets Razorlight; challenge yourself to get on the awesome Colossus, Detonator or Nemesis Inferno rides; head to the Free to Fight Area to try your hand at Sumo Wrestling and the Fight Station games including God of War and Tekken 5; relax on sun loungers, do the Hula or enjoy a fresh juice cocktail whilst listening to the Beach Hut DJ in the Free to Party Area, there's something for everyone.
You could perform the latest chart topping hits on mobile SingStar; check out the PS2 Freedom Barge moored in the Thorpe Park lake; get carried around the park on specially made Sedan chairs; throw yourself down the Depth Charge water slide; view the breath taking Breakdancing demos; dance in the Smallest Disco in the World or play Giant Pass-the-Parcel for a chance to win PlayStation goodies. One thing's for sure the PS2 Freedom Weekender is packed full of things to do!
Faithless will be performing an exclusive private gig to some 900 lucky winners on the 3rd September at Thorpe Park. For your chance to see them pre-order your Saturday tickets now, either online or by phone. Razorlight and Feeder will both be playing live at the park on 4th September to everyone. To guarantee hearing them perform make sure you get your tickets early!
Alton Towers
Besides the biggest rides in Britain, including Rita - Queen of Speed, Air, Nemesis and Oblivion, Alton Towers will also be packed full of PlayStation 2 fun, including the UK's longest zip wire from the top of the awesome Towers ruins! There'll also be incredible Breakdancing demos by some of the UK's best BBoys; a Free to Fight Area with padded sumo wrestling suits; Fight Station Gaming units where you can play your favourite PS2 titles, including God of War and Tekken 5; and a Free to Speed Area, with the incredible GT4 simulator, real WRC car, Moto GP bike and tuning garage. Have a go at playing Sega Super Monkey Ball Deluxe in the special Sega Monkey Cage- grab a banana to play the game but watch out for the monkeys on the loose!
Together with these activity areas there will be entertainment on the go, including Mobile SingStar and the PS2 customised Ice Cream Van giving away urban play packs. You could try the brilliant Human Juke Box featuring a live band playing your favourite suggested songs, or travel in style on the Sedan chairs or luxury stretchers which will be ready to transport you across the park. If you're feeling up to it you could enter the rope maze and see how dexterous you really are.

Thorpe Park
Two new adrenaline pumping rides take Thorpe Park to a new level of thrills in 2005. The Slammer promises the ultimate full throttle free fall experience as EUROPE'S FIRST sky-swat ride and Rush, the ride were size does matter, is the world's biggest giant speed swing. Firm favourites like the record breaking loops of Colossus and the awesome suspended steel of Nemesis Inferno are back including an adrenaline soaked line up of the mighty Samurai, gravity defying Detonator and the butt clenching Tidal Wave. With over 25 rides and attractions Thorpe Park is undoubtedly the park to take ultimate thrills to the max and experience some of the best thrill rides in Europe.
