Nov. 8, 2024 – The Pokémon Company International is gearing up to smash a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest unboxing livestream (video) live unboxing, delivering 24hrs of back-to-back reveals with content creators from across Europe.

The attempt celebrates the release of the next expansion in the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks – on sale today November 8th at participating retailers worldwide, including Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise.

The day long marathon, starting at noon on Thursday November 21st GMT and ending at midday on Friday 22nd, will see Pokémon fans and streamers from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain embark on the most epic unboxing of their careers – with surprises and special products along the way.

Viewers can cheer on their favourite Pokémon fans on The Pokémon Company International’s YouTube and Twitch channel and should keep their eyes peeled for the chance to win some of the packs and products for themselves.

In the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Surging Sparks, players can continue to discover beautifully radiant Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, including Pikachu ex with its strikingly powerful Topaz Bolt attack. Fans of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk will notice that in this expansion, they can collect and battle with cards themed around the Terarium — the artificial paradise first introduced in the DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games — and discover the towering Alolan Exeggutor as a Stellar Tera Pokémon ex alongside other powerful Dragon-type Pokémon.

Scarlet & Violet—Surging Sparks is now available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and special collections at Pokémon Center and participating retailers worldwide. Select products from the expansion are now available at Pokémon Center in the U.K., the U.S.Canada, Australia and New Zealand, including the Scarlet & Violet—Surging Sparks Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.

In addition, Scarlet & Violet—Surging Sparks is now digitally playable via the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Trainers can collect and battle with new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex and receive in-game bonuses when logging in to the app.

Furthermore, starting this month, Pokémon TCG fans will have the chance to obtain special promo cards created in collaboration with “Pokémon Horizons: The Series,” which feature the series’ dual protagonists Liko and Roy and their respective partner Pokémon. The special Sprigatito promo card will be available between 15 Nov. and 15 Dec. 2024, followed by the special Fuecoco promo card between 15 Dec. 2024 and 15 Jan. 2025 and an oversize Terapagos and Friends promo card between 15 Jan. and 15 Feb. 2025 at participating retailers and Pokémon Center U.K., each featuring the “Pokémon Horizons: The Series” logo.
