Aleth Labs :

May 7th, 2024 -  Aleth Labs invites players to think logically and laugh irrelevantly in ELON, a comedic puzzle adventure. Launching on Steam later this year,  ELON will be part of Steam Next Fest from June 10th - 17th, but players can check out the demo now. Play as a snarky AI with a fractured personality and solve puzzles as you carry out your primary objective: protect ELON. ELON combines a variety of gameplay styles to create a modern take on the puzzle genre. Keep the fire extinguisher handy, as ELON has a peculiar tendency to get himself into trouble.

After Aleth Labs, a nondescript "research company," loses a government contract due to fund reallocation to "Bigger Nuke'' and "Biggerer Nuke'' projects, you are given control of an AI tasked with protecting the oddball known as ELON. Solve puzzles to keep ELON safe and learn more about the technology-driven world around you.

Help ELON escape a burning building after a nasty flamethrower incident, and make sure he gets to his speech on time as you drive through busy traffic while regulating the temperature of the car to keep ELON from melting. Prepare to balance from the mundane to the absurd as you navigate a variety of gameplay styles, including logic puzzles, escape rooms, driving sequences, and destructive laser shootouts.

Are you ready for an extra challenge? Discover hidden secrets within each level to unlock new areas and uncover the true intention and capabilities of the cloud-based AI that you control. Utilize difficulty scaling to find the playstyle that allows you to protect ELON, have some laughs, and avoid the dreaded rage quit.

ELON will launch on Steam later this year, players can check out the game during June Next Fest and can try their luck at protecting ELON by playing the demo now. Those who can't wait to use some good old fashioned brainpower trying to save their naive ward can wishlist ELON on Steam today and  join the official Discord Server.

Key Features:

  • Get ready to overclock your processor! Experience logic puzzles, escape rooms, and demanding multitasking through four different game modes: point & click, driving, direct WASD-style controls, and destructive lasers. A system of streamlined properties allows for multiple resolutions to many of the rooms, including shortcuts that may save time or bypass dangers.

  • Are you asking for a challenge? Or is your neural net fried? Choose from three difficulties that adjust the structure of puzzles in subtle but important ways. Reduce difficulty at any time to cool your processor. Or stick to hard mode and use every core to prove your problem-solving prowess! Flex your search algorithm on any difficulty to find optional hidden secrets throughout the game that unlock a mysterious door deep in an abandoned lab.

  • Where we're going, we don't need saves. Did you make a mistake? Forget the tedious business of traditional save/load management. A persistent health system allows you to replay previous levels at any time, saving your highest-health result on each level and carrying it forward cumulatively without losing progress.

  • Fully-voiced dialog brings the characters to life. (or uh... artificial life?)

  • Visual nostalgia: Experience a modern world in retro style through isometric pixel art drawn by a guy who likes to rub his face on kitty bellies. (Marketing tells me that's not a feature, but I think they're just jealous.)

  • Take control: All modes fully support keyboard/mouse and controller input. A dual joystick thruster combo battle-station with full pedal array is a little less supported, but you can try. I'm not the police.
