Rebellion, the UK Developer, has won the coveted Best PC/Console game of 2005 at the recent TIGA awards for Sniper EliteTM.

Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director said, 'The TIGA award for Best Game means a huge amount to us and the company as a whole. With competition of the calibre as THQ's Juiced and the music quiz Buzz, it makes winning this award even more rewarding.'

Chris Kingsley, Chief Technical Officer said, 'As the production of Sniper EliteTM went on, we began to see something very special evolve. Couple this its innovations in A.I. and bullet physics, we knew it would do well, but not sure how much!'

Kristien Wendt, Head of Communications added, 'Working with Namco Hometek Inc in the US and MC2 in Europe was a joy, especially in developing and communicating our new global IP. All sides had great enthusiasm for the project and our thanks go out to them for helping to make a great game.'

Jason concludes, 'This award is the perfect way to end 2005. It was the Development community in the UK who nominated Sniper EliteTM and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to them for this huge honour. And last and by no means least, our thanks to the team at Rebellion because without their talent and dedication, we wouldn't be here now.'
