READING, UK - (October 17, 2005) - Vivendi Universal Games' today announced that Sierra Entertainment's award-winning F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon), one of the most anticipated games of 2005, has been shipped to retailers globally and will be available Tuesday, October 18, 2005.
"Consumers around the world will be able to get their copies of F.E.A.R. at the same time - October 18th," said Philip W. Developed by Monolith Productions, F.E.A.R. is an intense first person close-quarters combat experience with rich atmosphere and an engaging, paranormal horror storyline. Already named 'Best Action Game of E3 2005' by the E3Critics, F.E.A.R. has been called 'Vivendi's classic-in-the-making' and 'the PC's top shooter' by PC Gamer US (September 2005) who also gave the title 92% and the 'Editors Choice' award. F.E.A.R has also received a score of 90% in PC Zone and 'Editors Choice' awards from GameSpot.com (9.1 out of 10) and IGN.com (9.2 out of 10)
