DUBLIN, IRELAND – 11th January, 2012 - Riot Games, the online game company behind League of Legends, today announced plans to launch a completely localized version of the hit multiplayer online battle arena game for Russian speaking players, with dedicated servers and support, as well as a new website.
“We’ve listened carefully to the rising volume of voices asking for League of Legends in Russia,” said Brandon Beck, co-founder and CEO of Riot Games. “We are looking forward to delivering fully localized service and support, and we are optimistic that the passionate community of Russian speaking PC gamers will embrace League of Legends.”
League of Legends is also currently available to play in English, French, German, Spanish and Polish throughout Europe.
League of Legends, Riot Games’ debut title, celebrated its second anniversary on Oct. 27, 2011. Since its launch, over 30 million players have downloaded the game to engage in session-based, multiplayer battles against rival teams, with more than four million players enjoying League of Legends every day.
