The journey of Sledders began in the fall of 2022 when avid snowmobiler Niko Autio found himself eagerly awaiting the winter snow. Fueled by his passion for snowmobiling and a desire to share the excitement with a broader audience, Niko embarked on a mission to create a game that truly captured the essence of hitting the powder-filled trails.

Navigating the challenges of game development, Niko, along with his team at Hanki Games, is dedicated to crafting a snowmobiling experience like no other. Sledders promises to break away from the traditional mold of snowmobiling games, providing players with a realistic and exhilarating ride through snowy landscapes.

Niko, a snowmobiler himself, ensured that the game's mechanics, from weight shifting to counter-steering, closely mimic the feel of riding an actual snowmobile. ”We've all felt the disappointment of snowmobiling games that just don't hit the mark, right? It's like they slap a snowmobile skin on a regular racing game and call it a day” Niko stated.   

The publishing partnership with Bonus Stage founders has roots in snowmobiling in real life.
