Lapland, Finland — December 1, 2023 — Snowmobiling enthusiasts, get ready to experience the thrill of the trails from the comfort of your sofa! Sledders, the world's first realistic snowmobiling game, is set to launch on Steam Early Access on December 5th. Sledders offers an immersive backcountry freeriding adventure for players worldwide.

The journey of Sledders began in the fall of 2022 when avid snowmobiler Niko Autio found himself eagerly awaiting the winter snow. Fueled by his passion for snowmobiling and a desire to share the excitement with a broader audience, Niko embarked on a mission to create a game that truly captured the essence of hitting the powder-filled trails.

Navigating the challenges of game development, Niko, along with his team at Hanki Games, is dedicated to crafting a snowmobiling experience like no other. Sledders promises to break away from the traditional mold of snowmobiling games, providing players with a realistic and exhilarating ride through snowy landscapes.

Sledders in a nutshell

  • Freeride Snowmobile Simulator

  • Real-world physics in deep-snow backcountry

  • Realistic handling of snowmobile - Steer by leaning and counter steering

  • Online multiplayer - Ride with and against your friends

What sets Sledders apart is its attention to detail in replicating the true snowmobiling experience. Niko, a snowmobiler himself, ensured that the game's mechanics, from weight shifting to counter-steering, closely mimic the feel of riding an actual snowmobile. ”We've all felt the disappointment of snowmobiling games that just don't hit the mark, right? It's like they slap a snowmobile skin on a regular racing game and call it a day” Niko stated.

The publishing partnership with Bonus Stage founders has roots in snowmobiling in real life. Asmo Saloranta, a representative from Bonus Stage, expressed enthusiasm about the game's potential, stating, “We have had daydreams of proper snowmobile game for years now. In Sledders everything just clicks, and we anticipate it will attract a massive audience of snowmobile enthusiasts globally into the world of gaming."

Niko Autio, founder of Hanki Games, shared his excitement about the upcoming release, "Creating Sledders has been a labor of love, and we can't wait for players to experience the rush of snowmobiling in the virtual world. It's been an incredible journey, and we're thrilled to share our passion with the gaming community."

Sledders will be available for PC on Steam Early Access starting December 5th
