SN Systems | 21st February 2005. Bristol, UK. SN Systems, the leading independent producer of software development tools for the video games industry, today announced that the majority of North American launch titles for Sony Computer Entertainment's "PSPTM" were developed using their ProDG suite of tools.

From a line-up of 24 game titles listed in the North American launch window for "PSPTM", 20 were developed using SN Systems' ProDG for PSPTM development tools reflecting both the quality and reputation SN Systems has throughout the world's game development studios.

Takahiro Yamada, Capcom's Director of Software Technology Group said, "Development of 'Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower' went smoothly and credit is due to the guys at SN Systems for delivering such a reliable and stable product so quickly in the early stages of "PSPTM". When we needed it, SN Systems support team were incredibly quick to respond and resolve any issues we came up against. We've used ProDG on other platforms but this latest version has some major new features, which have proved essential. The new UI for the debugger and the compiler SNC both stand out as examples of how much thought has gone into utilising new and future console technology."

Andy Beveridge, Director and co-founder of SN Systems commented, "We're naturally very pleased to have such a strong following in the development community. At SN Systems we continually strive to create tools that allow game developers to concentrate on creativity instead of production issues." He continued, "We're continually looking to create the best possible tools and constantly talk to developers to find ways to make their jobs easier."

Matt Wilkinson, Director of Technology at Activision said, "Powerful features such as multiple module support allows for easy debugging of dynamically loaded code, and the dead code and data stripping has saved us considerable space on a limited memory handheld. This, combined with the new debugger UI, has proven ProDG to be a very powerful development solution for the "PSPTM"."

To ensure that high quality game titles are available for the launch of the "PSPTM", developers and publishers have come to trust SN Systems' vast experience and expertise.

Continuing an impressive and unrivalled history of developing tools for all the major consoles, SN Systems' ProDG for PSPTM tools includes the benchmark SNC C/C++ Compiler, which has been designed specifically for console architecture that will offer smaller and faster code.
