Tactical Roguelite, Rogue Waters, Demo Out Now on PC via Steam, Limited-time 20% Discount on All Platforms; Ice Code Games Plots the Course Ahead with New Update Roadmap

Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that focuses on releasing great games from other independent studios, and developer Ice Code Games, creators of the critically acclaimed Hard West 2, today announced the release of a new playable demo for their pirate-infused turn-based tactics title Rogue Waters, available to download for free on Windows PC via Steam. New captains can take their first voyage on the dangerous high seas, experiencing the swashbuckling turn-based combat where even the environment can become a deadly weapon. To celebrate, the full game is available with a limited-time 20% discount off its standard price of $29.99 on Steam through Nov. 20 and on the Epic Games Store through Nov. 18.
 
Developer Ice Code Games also gave fans a look through the spyglass at the course ahead for the tactical turn-based roguelite with the release of a new content roadmap charting through February, 2025. Captains can look forward to big gameplay updates through the end of the year adding new skill trees and item sets, alongside ongoing progression balancing, and spy a new playable and enemy unit class sailing over the horizon in 2025.
 

Rogue Waters is a tactical turn-based rogue-lite set in a pirate world overtaken by a terrible curse. Recruit a ragtag crew of pirates and grow them into fierce warriors, befriend and call upon classic creatures of pirate myth, chart a course through an ever-changing game world, and turn the tides of battle on land or sea by manipulating the map to gain an advantage in a fresh take on tactical turn-based combat. The crew and the Kraken await your command–will ye heed the call?

Developed by Ice Code Games and published by Tripwire Presents, Rogue Waters launched on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on Sept. 30, 2024. Console versions are in development for the Nintendo Switch™ system, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S systems and will launch on Feb. 4, 2025. The game has not yet been rated for PC or consoles by the ESRB.
